BIOGRAPHY
Sylvie started her career in show business at an early age. She wrote, directed, produced and acted in her first play when she was only nine years old. She then joined the “Jeune Theatre du Soleil” where she toured the South of France performing Greek classics.
After gaining an MBA in Management and Marketing, she went on to work in England as a magician’s assistant whilst studying drama at RADA.
She appeared on the British stage and subsequently on Mexican and European television. Sylvie had the chance to work with Sam Mendes, appearing in London Assurance, although Mr Mendes probably won't remember the Servant who was pushing furniture about on the stage in Guildford, UK!
Sylvie made her directing debuts in advertising, with TV commercials for Mexican television. She had previously written, directed and produced a series of radio commercials for various brands including Pepsi Cola. She has some experience of stage directing, her last work Breaking the Silence was performed at the Etcetera theatre in London. She has worked on numerous productions as Assistant Director.
Her short film Solo Party, for which she also did the cinematography, was selected at the Tribeca Underground Film Festival in New York.
Adding another string to her bow, Sylvie recently edited a feature film Jehovah Kill which raised the interest of US distributor Montecristo Entertainement.
Her latest short film GAS, based on a story written by Alfred Hitchcock and endorsed by Lord David Puttnam, Sir Alan Parker an Mike Leigh, is just entering the Festival circuit.
Sylvie is now combining her acting career and developing two feature films Air on a ‘G’ String and The Mind Robbers, which she will direct and co-produce.
